1)Flashing the BIOS= its mean updating the BIOS to a later version and you should not even touch it while is doing that. Flash memory can be erased and rewritten faster than ordinary EEPROM

2)RAM=>
Random access
memory: makes your computer run smoothly, and programs run smoothly too,
It is the temporary storage device used to store data
for processing. When the
power to RAM is lost then data within the Ram is lost. RAM is also referred as
NON-VOLATILE STORAGE
3)ROM=> read only memory: data stored
in rom can’t be modified
4)PROM=>Programmable read-only memory:
can be written to or programmed via a program called a PROM programmer
5)EPROM=>Erasable programmable read-only
memory: can be erased by an ultraviolet light keep it 10 minutes or longer then
rewritten with a process that needs higher voltage than usual.
6)EEPROM=> Electrically erasable
programmable read-only memory :its similar structure to EPROM but it’s
aloud the entire content to be electrically erased, the rewritten electrically so
that they need not be removed from the computer
7)EAROM=>Electrically alterable read-only
memory: is a type of EEPROM that can be modified one bit a time writing is very
slow process and again needs a higher voltage usually 12v than is used for read
access.
8)
BIOS=> The
BIOS software is built into the PC, and is the first code run by a PC when
powered on. When the PC starts up, the first job for the BIOS is the power-on
self-test, which initializes and identifies system devices such as the CPU,
RAM, video display card, keyboard and mouse, hard disk drive, optical disc
drive and other hardware.
