Differences between memories M2

M2
Differences between memories
Flash memory is used in most technology nowadays such as routers, computers and a lot of other technology stuff. CMOS for example that is on the motherboard  the battery of the BIOS.
When you shut down the computer the flash keeps the data ram doesn’t because it’s a short term memory. Flash doesn’t cost a lot, but ram costs more and its faster. The are a lot of types of ram with different amount of pins for example: DDR, DDR 2 , DDR 3, SDRAM, DRAM.
Registers are used by the CPU for storing and calculating and give access to part in the CPU. Registers called L1 cache are very fast comparing to other memory register loses its data when the computer shuts down like the ram.
The second part is when it stores instructions which later on uses them to run programs it doesn’t need to use the motherboard transfer bus to execute instructions from the ram because all the actions are taken in the cache.

The cache that is built in the CPU is very fast. The cache is more expensive than the RAM. RAM memory is slower than cache which is built in the CPU or motherboard but faster than the flash memory. Comparing ram with cache, RAM is much cheaper and has larger capacity than cache also cache speed it depends on the order. All memories of the computer are really important without them the computer wouldn’t work right.
